GI Cloud– A Cloud Computing Initiative of MeitY
MeitY has empaneled the Cloud Service offerings of major Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) for ease of Cloud procurement for the Government Departments. Presently, Cloud Services from prominent CSPs have been empaneled by MeitY and a Bouquet of Cloud Services has been formed consisting of three categories of Cloud Services defined as under:
1.Basic Cloud Services consisting of Compute Service, Storage Service, Network Service, Database Service, Security Service, Support Service,
2.Advanced Cloud Services consisting of Container Service, Managed Database as a Service, Content Delivery Network, MPLS Connectivity, HSM, DDoS, TLS / SSL Certificate Management, Dual / Multi Factor Authentication, Monitoring Services, Office Productivity Suite, Analytics Services.
3. Managed Services consisting of Disaster Recovery as a Service and Backup as a Service.

Cloud services, under all the categories, are listed on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) platform. The procurement of Cloud Services can easily be done through the GeM platform. MeitY invites applications from prospective CSPs offering their Cloud services for empanelment with MeitY. The empanelment window will remain open for a period of 3 months, from 1st June 2021 to 31st August 2021. The prospective applicants are hereby instructed to fill in the application document along with the bouquet of Cloud services (word file).
* The last date of submission of Application for Empanelment of Cloud Service Offerings of CSP has been extended till further orders.
MeitY has empaneled the Cloud Service offerings of CSPs in the form of Bouquet of Cloud Services. The Bouquet of Cloud Services comprises of Basic Cloud services which are mandatory services under CSPs various Cloud offerings. The CSPs has to offer the “Basic Cloud Services” to the Government Organizations under at least one of the Cloud Deployment Models defined by MeitY which are Public Cloud, Virtual Private Cloud and Government Community Cloud.
