1. Centre of Excellence in FinTech at STPI-Chennai:
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved a project for setting up of a Centre of Excellence in FinTech at STPI-Chennai in partnership with M/s Intellect Design Arena Ltd at a total estimated cost of Rs. 24.45 Crore including a Grant-In-Aid of Rs. 1.8 Crore from MeitY with an aim to provide infrastructure, resources, coaching/ mentorship, technology support and funding to emerging start-ups in the FinTech sector. The Centre of Excellence would establish ecosystem around FinTech with the latest trends and technologies in the financial services sector through a collaborative approach including M/s intellect design as industrial partner, NPCI, UIDAI and Partner Banks as Yes Bank, PayPal, HSBC, IIT Chennai as knowledge partner and TiE Chennai to provide industrial connect. The purpose of the FinTech CoE is to create holistic ecosystem so as to enable start-ups to experiment their innovative financial products or services within a well defined space and duration. The project aims to support 58 start-ups over a period of 5 years.

2. Centre of Excellence (CoE) in IOT OpenLab at STPI-Bengaluru:
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved a project for setting up of a Centre of Excellence for Internet of Things (IoT) in partnership with Arrow Electronics at STPI Bengaluru at a total estimated cost of Rs. 11.47 Crore including MeitY contribution of Rs. 1.8 Crore. The project aims to provide academic and business mentoring of the startups in the IOT emerging technology area to develop disruptive IoT based applications, products and/ or services around IoT along with networking opportunities for the startups. The IoT OpenLab intends to support and nurture 100 start-ups per year with an overall target to support 500 startups over a period of 5 years.

3. ESDM Incubation Centre at Bhubaneswar by STPI-Bhubaneswar:
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved a project for Setting up of ESDM Incubation Centre at Bhubaneswar at a total estimated cost of Rs. 22.44 Crore including MeitY contribution as Grant-in-Aid of Rs. 2.5 Crore and contribution of Govt. of Odisha of Rs. 11.22 Crore over a period of five years with the objective of creating a holistic eco-system to promote ESDM innovation, R&D and create Indian intellectual property in the Eastern Region of the country. The centre will be operated through STPI, Odisha in collaboration with Government of Odisha, IIIT Bhubaneswar and IESA. This project aims to support 40 startups over a period of 5 years.

4. Centre of Excellence in Tactile Graphics at FITT, IIT Delhi:
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved project for ‘Design and Production of Tactile Diagrams for Persons with Visual Impairment’ being implemented by Foundation For Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), a society under IIT Delhi at a total estimated cost of Rs. 1.92 Crore over a period of 2 years. In the project, the Centre of Excellence in Tactile Graphics is planning to grow as an entrepreneurship mode as a non- profit section 8 company so as to further scale up the work and expand capabilities to cater to this immense unmet need with a significant impact.
