Approved Incubators for Electronics
1. Setting up of Electropreneur Park being implemented by STPI/DU/IESA:
Department of Electronics and information Technology (DeitY) has approved project for setting up of an Electropreneur Park for development of ESDM industry at a total estimated cost of Rs. 21.10 Crores by implemented by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), New Delhi in association with Delhi University (DU) and India Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA).Administrative Approval3.49 MB
The project for setting up of the Electropreneur Park is conceived to emphasize on development of Product and IP creation in the ESDM sector especially in the CAREL (Committee for Advancing Research in Electronics) identified 6 mass consumption electronics products.
Total project duration to set up the Electropreneur Park is 5 years, DeitY will be providing the funding support required to set up and manage the centre over the initial 5 years, thereafter the project will be run by the implementing agencies in a self-sustaining mode.
Project Outcome: 50 start-ups will be benefitted over a period of 5 Years.

2. Incubation Centre at IIT Patna in the area of Medical Electronics:
An Incubation Centre is being set up at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna for development of Product and IP creation ESDM industry with focus on Medical Electronics at a total estimated cost of Rs. 47.10 Crores including a Grant-In-Aid of Rs. 22.10 Crores from Department of Electronics and information Technology (DeitY), Government of India. The State Government of Bihar will contribute Rs. 25 Crores in the project.

This Incubation centre will gives an impetus to entrepreneurship amongst interested students, faculty and external innovators. The Minimum envisages start-ups over a period of 5 years will be 45 with the aim to incubate minimum 10 companies in a year. 5 Incubation ideas / Start-ups in first year and increasing to 10 start-ups from 2nd Year onwards.
Project Outcome: Minimum 45 start-ups will be benefitted over a period of 5 Years.

3. Consumer Electronics Incubator at Cochin, Kerala:
An Electronics Incubator is being set up for development of Product and IP creation ESDM industry with focus on Medical Electronics at a total estimated cost of Rs. 49.91 Crores including a Grant-In-Aid of Rs. 22.78 Crores from Department of Electronics and information Technology (DeitY), Government of India. The project is being implemented by Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Kerala (IIITMK) and M/s. Startup Village.
